Key expressway fully connected in Xizang

A 166.98-kilometer expressway linking Lhasa, capital of the Xizang autonomous region, and Shigatse, a prefecture-level city, has been fully linked to boost local transport. Its first phase — Lhasa to Lhasa airport, and Shigatse to Shigatse airport — has opened to traffic, while construction of the second phase, or the middle section partially built by China Railway No 4 Engineering Group Co Ltd, has been completed. The expressway is part of the G4218 Yaan-Yecheng Expressway, which starts at Yaan in Sichuan province and ends at Yecheng in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

Forum sharpens focus on high-quality brands

China will strive to build high-quality and sustainable brands, and comprehensively improve the current standing of its brands, government officials and industry leaders said at the 2023 China Brand Forum held in Beijing on Friday. The forum, held annually by People's Daily since 2015, is on the theme "Promoting Brand Building and Contributing to Chinese Modernization" this year.
