Exhibition marks 550th anniversary of Copernicus' birth

Copernicus is a great scientific hero in Poland.
With next year marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Poland, the China Science and Technology Museum and the Polish Embassy in China have taken the opportunity to cooperate for the first time to organize an exhibition.
The Copernican heliocentric theory — that Earth and the other planets revolve around the sun — was a milestone in the history of world science, and its dissemination in China was also an important chapter in the modern history of Chinese science. The exhibition is the most comprehensive display of the Copernican heliocentric theory in China to date and also the largest Copernicus commemorative exhibition in Asia this year, the organizers said.
Public admission to the exhibition, which will run until the end of the year, is free. During the exhibition, the China Science and Technology Museum will host several expert lectures.
