1 dead in student toilet stampede

A crowd of young people stampeded at a middle school in Wuzhi county of Jiaozuo, Henan province, on Monday morning during a midterm examination break. One student died and one was seriously injured. Four other were hospitalized with minor injuries.

The local government said on Tuesday that the incident occurred at about 10 am, when students at Xinghua Middle School rushed out to go to the toilet. Some students fell on the stairs.
