The China International Import Expo, or the CIIE, is the worlds first import-themed national-level expo, and a pioneering event in the history of global trade. Hosting the CIIE is a major decision adopted by the Chinese government to pursue a new round of high-level opening-up and Lo widen market access for the rest of die world.

Since its first edition in 2018, the CIIE has gained wider international influence. It has become an international public good, a demonstration window for China's new development paradigm, a platform that facilitates high-level opening-up, an effective earner of high-quality development and a major stage for multilateralism.

The sixth CIIE is composed of a business exhibition, the Hongqiao International Economic Forum, a country exhibition, and a number of supporting activities and cultural exchange programs.

The Chinese government sincerely welcomes government officials, business communities, exhibitors and professional purchasers from across the world to participate in the 2023 CIIE and to explore the Chinese market. China will continue to open its doors to the world and work with all countries, regions and international organizations to promote the common prosperity of the world economy and trade.
