China announces 2024 public holiday schedule

BEIJING - The General Office of China's State Council released the official public holiday schedule for 2024 on Wednesday, featuring an eight-day break for the Spring Festival.
In 2024, Spring Festival holiday will run from Feb 10 to 17, with adjusted working days on Feb 4 and 18.
People are recommended to take one day off on the eve of the Spring Festival, which falls on Feb 9, with their paid annual leave, according to the State Council.
The Ministry of Transport also said Wednesday that expressways across the country will offer toll-free access to passenger cars with up to seven seats from Feb 9 to 17.
