Elevator plunges from fourth floor, killing 3, injuring 17

Three people were killed and 17 injured when an elevator plunged in Mile city, Yunnan province, on Wednesday.
According to a notice released by the city government, the elevator fell from the fourth floor to the first floor. After the incident, the local administration immediately provided medical treatment to all the injured individuals.
As of now, three people have died despite rescue efforts, four are in serious condition, and 13 have minor injuries.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
