Passengers had to remove their makeup at a table at the entrance of a subway station on Saturday before taking a Guangzhou subway, Fengmian News reported on Monday.
The subway customer service explained that those who had participated in an amusement park's Halloween event needed to remove any frightening makeup before entering the station, in order to avoid scaring others.
This policy is welcomed by some. "That's correct. That makeup may be fine for adults. But it will scare babies," one netizen said on Sina Weibo.
