An explosion occurred in a restaurant during its gas pipeline testing before opening in Liyuan county, Tongzhou district in Beijing at approximately 3 pm on Monday.
The site has been thoroughly searched and no death has been reported, according to the official Wechat account of the district.
All the injured individuals have been sent to the hospital for medical treatment, but the number of the injuries is not specified in the statement.
The specific cause of the incident is still under investigation.
