Helicopter crash in Guangxi leaves 1 dead and 3 injured
A helicopter crashed in Xilin county of Baise city, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Wednesday, resulting in 1 dead and 3 injured.
According to a CCTV news report, the crash occurred around 3:30 pm while the helicopter was conducting high-voltage patrol operations for China Southern Power Grid Baise Branch.
The personnel on board included one pilot and three patrol workers. The pilot died on the spot, and the three patrol workers were taken to the local hospital for treatment.
Currently, two of the patrol workers are receiving treatment in the ICU of the hospital. The other one has suffered a lumbar vertebra fracture and burns on the back, and is receiving treatment in a regular ward.
The cause of the accident is under further investigation.
