Global Sustainable Transport Forum to be held in Beijing

The Global Sustainable Transport Forum will be held from Sept 25 to 26 in Beijing, the Ministry of Transport said on Thursday.
More than 50 dignitaries, ministerial-level representatives and personnel from international organizations have registered for the event, said vice-minister Li Yang at a news conference held by the State Council Information Office.
He said that the forum will focus on promoting global connections, addressing regional gaps, sharing innovative technologies and equipment, advancing green and low-carbon development, and deepening partnerships in the transportation sector.
During the forum, the Global Sustainable Transport Innovation and Knowledge Center that is administered by the ministry will band together domestic and foreign enterprises to set up an innovation alliance for global sustainable transportation.
Li said that the alliance will provide platforms for enterprises to share information with each other, and communicate with governments and spread knowledge about sustainable transportation to the public.
Meanwhile, the 15th International Exhibition on Transport, Technology and Equipment will also be held in Beijing from Sept 25 to 27.
