CR24's key railway project makes progress

The Yangtze River Delta region, an economic hub of the nation, took another step toward integrated regional development with the construction of the first box girder for the Wenling-Yuhuan High-speed Railway in Zhejiang province's Taizhou, said China Railway 24th Bureau Group Corp, the project builder. Upon completion, the project will enable passengers in Yuhuan, which is still not connected by any railway routes, to make high-speed railway trips to destinations nationwide through Wenling on the Hangzhou-Taizhou High-speed Railway, which is part of the national railway network, CR24 said.

Honeywell, Bohai Chem to set up recycling unit

Honeywell signed a cooperation agreement with Tianjin Bohai Chemical Group Co Ltd for a planned plastic recycling factory in Tianjin, which is expected to help develop the circular economy for plastics. The plant will apply Honeywell's UpCycle process technology to convert mixed waste plastics into recycled polymer feedstock. The technology expands the types of plastics that can be recycled and has the potential to increase the amount of global plastic waste that can be recycled to 90 percent, Honeywell said.
