China to enact temporary control measures on certain drones

China has announced temporary export control measures on certain types of drones, according to a public notice released by the Ministry of Commerce on Monday.
The export controls cover drones with certain types of lasers, communication equipment and hyperspectral cameras. It will come into effect on Sept 1 and its implementation period will not exceed two years.
The ministry will conduct a review of export application documents from the date of receipt, or in conjunction with relevant government branches, and make a decision to grant or deny permission within the prescribed statutory time limit.
