Several people remain missing after rainstorm

At least three people remained missing in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, as of Thursday afternoon after heavy rains lashed the downtown area on Wednesday.
A 66-year-old woman who took shelter from the rain under a bridge was washed into turbulent floodwaters around 3:15 pm, according to the water authority of Nanjing's Yuhuatai district.
It said that nearly 150 people from public security, urban management and fire departments are searching for the lost woman.
Also in Yuhuatai district, two men were washed away by floodwaters after taking shelter from the rain under a bridge and accidentally slipping into the rushing stream.
Many people have been sent to search for the men, the local emergency management bureau said.
