Harbin International Beer Festival coming soon
The 21st Harbin International Beer Festival in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, will open on July 20 and is expected to attract tourists from all over the world to enjoy the pleasant summer of the city, organizers said at a news conference on Tuesday.
With an area of more than 60,000 square meters, the annual festival will be held at the same park that hosts the Harbin Ice and Snow World. It will be divided into nine themed zones, including beer halls, craft beer pubs, beer gardens, two snack streets, local cuisine exhibitions, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, camping areas and an entertainment area.
Tourists and residents will have a choice of more than 500 kinds of beer from all over the world.
A giant Ferris wheel in the shape of a snowflake in the center of the park will provide visitors a unique experience after dark.
Activities at the festival will include the opening ceremony, a brand parade, a beer drinking competition and a square dance competition.
