Communist Youth League congress concludes in Beijing
The 19th National Congress of the Communist Youth League of China closed at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Thursday.
The 1,480 delegates that attended the congress out of the 1,535 invited to the congress voted for the election of the 19th CYLC Central Committee, consisting of 170 members and 129 alternate members.
Resolutions on the report of the 18th CYLC Central Committee and on the revision of the CYLC Constitution were passed at the congress, with the revised CYLC Constitution coming into force from the day.
The four-day congress opened on Monday and was attended by nearly 1,500 delegates from across the country of different walks of life. The Communist Youth League so far has over 73 million members aged from 14 to 28.
