Competition to uncover future petroleum engineering talent concludes
After nine months of deliberation, events and lectures, the 13th China Petroleum Engineering Design Competition recently reached its conclusion.
Alongside the competition, nearly 20 additional events have been held, including academic lectures by esteemed academicians, forums, a roundtable meeting of university presidents and an exhibition showcasing petroleum culture.
The competition has attracted over 4,700 students and 2,000 supervising teachers from 31 domestic and international universities, resulting in a total of 1,645 submissions. Among them, 88 design proposals and nine software development projects qualified for the national finals.
Hosted by China University of Petroleum (Beijing), the competition aims to cultivate and enhance students' abilities in solving complex engineering problems, while fostering outstanding petroleum engineers who possess a combination of technological innovation, practical engineering skills and teamwork capabilities that align with the needs of societal development.
The event provides a significant academic platform for petroleum students from across the country and abroad to showcase their talents, exchange ideas and broaden their horizons.
