Fourteen children with congenital heart disease from the Tibet autonomous region arrived at TEDA International Cardiovascular Hospital in Tianjin on Tuesday, seeking treatment for their serious condition.
They will undergo medical examinations and are expected to receive free rehabilitation from the hospital, located in the city's coastal Binhai New Area, with the support of a charitable program.
From May 6 to 15, a medical team from the hospital traveled to Tibet to screen for congenital heart disease among children, in the hopes of finding patients to treat preemptively and increase their chances of living full, healthy lives.
