Experts predict missing miners have no chance of survival

Rescue experts have estimated that the five missing miners at a coal fire accident in a coal mine in Gengcun village of Sanmenxia city, Henan province have no chance of survival, Henan Dayou Energy Group Co, Ltd told Red Star Capital, a Chengdu-based research and financial news group, on Thursday night.
The fire started at No. 13 mining area at the coal mine at 1:39 pm on Tuesday and has spread rapidly since the early morning on Wednesday, according to the company.
Five people lost contact with the company and the rest have been evacuated safely.
As of Friday afternoon, the fire has not been extinguished and rescuers are using bricks to block the vent, which may help extinguish the fire.
