China's express delivery sector has handled 40 billion parcels as of Thursday, showing a quick recovery and good momentum of the sector, the State Post Bureau said on Friday.
It took 24 fewer days to surpass the threshold than last year and 128 fewer days than 2019, the bureau said in a release.
The express delivery sector has maintained good momentum this year, with the number of parcels processed increasing each month, showing people's confidence in consumption and positive economy performance.
During the just-concluded May Day holiday, the country collected around 1.5 billion parcels, up by 11.6 percent year-on-year. The number of parcels delivered during the period reached almost 1.6 billion, up by 8.8 percent from last year.
