German enterprises to shine at 6th CIIE

Several senior executives from German enterprises have expressed their eagerness to showcase their products and services at the sixth China International Import Expo during a promotional event for this year's expo in Munich, Germany.
The event, held on April 25 local time, was attended by more than 200 representatives from the Munich government, German trade and investment promotion associations, key industry associations, enterprises, and Chinese and German media outlets.
Sun Chenghai, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said at the conference that the number of German exhibitors and the exhibition area they occupied were among the highest out of all European exhibitors at previous expos.
He expressed hope that more German enterprises would seek to expand their influence and further explore its potential in the Chinese market through the CIIE.
The expo has established a deep relationship with Munich, where the inaugural expo held a promotional event, the only one of its kind in Germany, said Tong Defa, Chinese consul-general in Munich, via video at the conference.
He hopes that the CIIE will allow German enterprises to showcase their manufacturing capacity and seize opportunities in the vast Chinese market.
