Cases of illegal child labor have been increasing in the United States since the COVID-19 outbreak, driven by a shortage of adult labor, Reuters reported on Thursday. The US Department of Labor said in February that the number of illegal child workers soared nearly 70 percent in 2022 compared with 2018.
