Deputy chairman of the Standing Committee in Jiangxi under investigation

Yin Meigen, deputy chairman of the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress, is suspected of serious violations of Party disciplines and national laws, and is now under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation.
The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Commission of Supervisory shared the news in a statement on Wednesday.
The 59-year-old is a native of Jiangxi and has been working there in different positions for an extended amount of years.
He began working and joined the Party in 1985. He was appointed the Party chief of Jiujiang, Jiangxi in September 2013. He stepped up as the vice governor of Jiangxi in November 2015.
Later, he also served as a member of the standing committee of the CPC Jiangxi provincial committee and Party chief of Nanchang, capital city of Jiangxi.
In January 2023, he was elected the deputy chairman of the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress.
