Global broadcasting campaign to share China kickstarts
More than 100 video works were selected to be broadcast on more than 100 overseas mainstream media and online audio-visual platforms this year, mainly on platforms in countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, as this year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative.
A launch ceremony for the global broadcasting campaign was held in Jinan, capital city of Shandong province on Thursday.
Focusing on the Belt and Road Initiative, the broadcasting campaign aims to share Chinese culture, display China's image, deepen exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations, and promote mutual understanding and friendship between people of different countries.
An award ceremony for the 2022 International Short Video Competition was also held.
Beginning in last September, the short video competition highlighting perspectives on China during the past decade saw the submission of over 2,800 works from around the world. A total of 100 short video works, including "Mega China -- House Builder in the Sky" and "The Story of Daniel and Jinan's Tallest" won awards.
