China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced on Wednesday that it will resume accepting applications for commercial performances involving people from overseas, starting from March 20.
The move came after the Chinese mainland optimized its response to COVID-19. The announcement also said that local governments should continue to strengthen the management of commercial performance activities, urge performance organizers to implement the new epidemic prevention and control measures, and continue to promote the development of the performing arts market and to serve the general public.
Starting from Feb 16, the applications for commercial performances involving people from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan have been resumed.
