Leaders of Chinese, Cuban women's groups look to strengthen cooperation

Shen Yueyue, president of the All-China Women's Federation, met Teresa Amarelle Boue, secretary-general of the Cuba Women's Federation, on Tuesday via video link to discuss strengthening cooperation between the two organizations.
Shen said that China will adhere to upholding equality between men and women and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of women and children.
She said China would like to deepen exchanges and cooperation on practical issues with Cuba.
Boue said she appreciates the progress that China has made in uplifting women and said Cuba will also strengthen exchanges with both organizations.
