5 dead, 13 injured in Tianhe traffic accident

Five people died, with 13 being injured, after a traffic accident in Tianhe district of Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on Wednesday afternoon, according to local police.
The accident occurred at 17:25 pm, during rush hour.
The 22-year-old driver, surnamed Wen, from Jieyang of Guangdong, was immediately controlled by police. The accident is under further investigation, according to the police.
Traffic police have arrived at the accident site and assisted medical workers to treat the injured.
