Beijing to resume work and production life
Beijing will resolutely resume work and production and make the most efforts to promote the resumption of normal production and life, a local official said on Monday.
Xu Hejian, spokesman for the municipal government, said all district governments and other government departments are no longer required to approve work resumption or set the upper limit for people going to work.
All companies that want to resume production and all people who want to go to work should do so without any restrictions, he said at a news conference.
When COVID-19 cases are identified at enterprises, swift actions needs to be taken for quarantine and disinfection and the companies' production and work should not be stopped, Xu said.
The city has also released a slew of measures to assist enterprises that have been impacted by the epidemic, reducing operating costs, increasing financial support and safeguarding employment and people's livelihoods, he said.
Xu also noted according to the requirement from the Ministry of Education, the National Postgraduate Entrance Exam will take place from Dec 24 to 26 in the city as scheduled.
Based on the epidemic situation, education authorities will continue to improve the epidemic control plan, arrangement plan and security plan for exams to make sure they are safe and on schedule, he added.
