SMEs improve their performance in Oct

The activities of China's small and medium-sized enterprises picked up in October as the country's economy has logged a stable recovery since the third quarter of this year, industry data showed. The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Index, calculated based on a survey of 3,000 SMEs, came in at 88.2 last month, according to the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises.

Chengdu Metro station finishes key task

China Railway 24th Bureau Group Corp Ltd (CR24) said its team recently finished capping at a major station on the 24.8-kilometer second phase of Line 17 of Chengdu Metro Line in Sichuan province. The completion of the capping on Qingshuihe Bridge Station marks a major success in the face of challenges. "The project faces relocation work of a complex pipeline and tube network. It took the team eight months to complete the relocation work in cooperation with various government departments," a CR24 official said. The line's second phase is expected to play a key role in easing traffic congestion in Chengdu from 2024.
