UK restaurants 'closing quicker than during COVID'

Soaring energy costs, staff shortages and weak customer demand mean restaurants in the United Kingdom are closing at a faster rate than during the pandemic.
According to advisory firm Mazars, in the past year closures rose by 60 percent with 1567 restaurants shutting over 2021-22, up from 984 during 2020-21.
