The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has decided that Cai Qi will no longer concurrently serve as secretary, a standing committee member, or a member of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, and that Yin Li will serve concurrently as a member, a standing committee member, and a secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, according to Xinhua News Agency on Sunday.
Cai was elected one of the members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee in October.
Earlier on the day, Xinhua has reported that the Central Committee of the CPC has decided Yin Li will no longer concurrently serve as a secretary, a standing committee member, and a member of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee.
