Counter-terrorism forum in Beijing eyes int'l cooperation, smart weaponry
BEIJING -- The Great Wall-2022 International Forum on Counter-terrorism, hosted by the Chinese People's Armed Police Force, was held both online and offline in Beijing from August 30 to 31.
The forum was attended by more than 170 representatives from 30 countries, including China, Russia, Pakistan, Brazil and Italy.
This year's forum focused on two topics, namely the international cooperation on counter-terrorism among gendarmerie, police and armed forces around the world, and the application of unmanned and smart weaponry in counter-terrorism operations under various circumstances.
During the two-day forum, participants shared experiences and exchanged views on the topics in discussions and Q&A sessions, both on site and via video link, thus enhancing mutual trust and understanding.
The forum was launched in 2016, and this year's event is the fourth edition.
