From Friday morning to Saturday morning, thunderstorm or hail will strike parts of Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, Fujian and Sichuan, according to the National Meteorological Center.
Strong rainfall will hit many regions across the country, and some places will see up to 60 mm of hourly precipitation, the center said.
The center advised to remain alert for possible flooding, landslides and mudslides and recommended reducing outdoor activities.
China has a four-tier color-coded weather warning system, with red representing the most severe, followed by orange, yellow and blue.
