Shanghai police in Baoshan district have taken compulsory measures against a woman accused of breaking the infectious disease control and prevention law.
The woman, surnamed Chen, 32, broke quarantine protocols to go out when she was required to undergo a period of closed-loop management, the police said in a notice on Sina Weibo on Friday.
Chen had been to a high-risk area but concealed her travel history to the health authorities. And instead of confining herself despite having been to a high-risk area, she was careless because of which two of her family members got infected. Chen tested positive in a nucleic acid test later.
All those who came in contact with Chen have been put under quarantine now, the police said.
