Jinzhun Medical license revoked for tampering with COVID-19 testing
Beijing's market regulation authority has recently revoked the business license of testing lab Jinzhun Medical due to its serious illegal behavior which led to the harm of social and public interests, the authority announced on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the lab has been included in the list of serious violations and dishonesty by the authority.
On May 27, Beijing police reported the lab had diluted samples and put multiple tubes together during the COVID-19 tests during the latest epidemic outbreak in Beijing.
"The wrongdoing of the company has affected the accuracy of the testing results," said Pan Xuhong, spokesman for Beijing's public security bureau during a news conference.
The bureau has filed a case against the company for obstructing the prevention and control of infectious diseases. The police has taken criminal coercive measures against 17 people involved, including the legal representative surnamed Wang (male, 43).
