COVID-19 cases reported in Inner Mongolia

The Inner Mongolia autonomous region reported 16 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases and 33 asymptomatic cases on Sunday, the region's health commission said on Monday.
All the confirmed cases and 32 of the asymptomatic ones were found in Xilin Gol League. One asymptomatic person was found in Hohhot, the capital, the commission said.
As of Sunday, a total of 82 infections, including 40 confirmed cases and 42 asymptomatic ones, were reported in the city of Ereenhot, Xilin Gol League, officials said at a news conference.
"All the patients have been transported to designated and makeshift hospitals for medical treatment and observation. No one is in severe condition," Wang Sanshi, secretary-general of the league, said at the news conference. "A total of 3,647 close contacts have been traced, and all have been put under controlled management."
The city started its fifth round of mass nucleic acid testing on Monday morning. Three communities in Ereenhot were designated high-risk for COVID-19 on Monday, according to a statement released by the city's epidemic control and prevention headquarters.
Cities, including Hohhot, Baotou and Ordos, have dispatched a 395-member medical aid team to Ereenhot. The team has 251 medical workers for nucleic acid sampling, 35 laboratory workers and 109 other medical workers.
An emergency mobile makeshift laboratory and 11 ambulances with 14 medical workers have also been sent to the city.
