10 dead in auto accident in Guangdong

Ten people died after the van they were in fell into a river in Zhenjiang district of Shaoguan, Guangdong province at 5:20 pm on Monday, according to the Shaoguan government in a notice issued Tuesday.

The vehicle fell from the dyke at the Wantou hydropower station and was lifted out of the river on Monday night.

The van was on the way back to Renhua county from Shiliting township and lost control. The exact cause of the accident is being investigated.
