Jiangsu province eases travel bans

Some cities in Jiangsu province have eased intercity travel bans and are now requiring a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours of departure, as most areas of the economic hub are now at low-risk of infection.
Cities that adopted the new policy include Nanjing, Xuzhou, Huai'an, Yancheng, Lianyungang, Suqian, Nantong and Zhenjiang.
Travelers who fail to present a negative result will be required to take a test within 24 hours after arrival, and another one within 72 hours after arrival.
Formerly, the cities required travelers to be quarantined at home or in a hotel for three days and under health check for another 11 days, during which nine COVID tests were required.
Travelers from other provinces to Jiangsu are still under the former travel ban policy.
