USTB celebrates 70th anniversary

University of Science and Technology Beijing celebrated its 70th anniversary recently, with alumni looking back at its contributions to the development of China's steel industry.

Yang Renshu, president of USTB, reviewed the university's history and important achievements, saying that it will keep serving the country with advancement strategies and cultivating high-quality talents.

"We aim at making greater contributions to building the country into a leading power in manufacturing, science and technology, forging ahead toward the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation," he says.

Ulrich Rudiger, president of RWTH Aachen University in Germany which has an established strategic partnership with USTB since 1979, also sent wishes for the celebration, saying that they are expecting for more practical, close cooperation between the two sides in the future.
