Key enterprises in Shanghai resume operations

Seventy percent of the city's 666 key enterprises had resumed operations amid the current COVID-19 outbreak as of Sunday, vice-mayor of Shanghai Zhang Wei said during a news conference on Friday.
Automotive vehicles produced at SAIC Motor and Tesla plants have been rolling off the production line, and manufacturers of automobile related parts and components have also restarted production, according to Zhang.
The capacity utilization of key enterprises in sectors such as integrated circuit and chemical industry are also operating in comparatively high level.
"We will provide full support to the resumption of production of large-scale industries and enterprises that are vital in the industrial and supply chains of the Yangtze River Delta region as well as China as a whole," said Zhang.
The resumption of production is expected to help many companies in the manufacturing and industrial chain businesses recover.
