Shanghai COVID-19 tally grows

Shanghai reported 75 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, with 64 of them being asymptomatic, on Thursday, the municipal government announced on Friday.

Three asymptomatic cases were identified following testing of people deemed to have risk of exposure to COVID-19. The rest developed symptoms during quarantine.

There are currently 34 confirmed cases displaying symptoms and 362 asymptomatic cases in this latest outbreak which started on March 1.

The city also reported 42 imported cases, 10 of whom are asymptomatic, on Thursday.
