Zhang Xingying, a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, spoke about climate change and other issues he expects to discuss during the two sessions, the annual meetings of China's top legislature and top political advisory body. He said he will call for a monitoring and calculation system to evaluate emissions reduction results and provide a scientific basis for macro-control and decision-making.
