US shoplifting on rise, forcing even big retailers to close stores

Shoplifting has been soaring across the US for the past five years, forcing some big retailers such as Rite Aid and Walgreens to close stores. Around 54 percent of small-business owners reported an increase in shoplifting last year, according to a recent survey of 700 small-business owners by Business.org.
