COVID enters Qingdao

Qingdao, Shandong province, reported a locally transmitted confirmed case of COVID-19 on Tuesday, the Qingdao Municipal Health Commission reported.
The case had flown to Qingdao early on Monday from Wuhan, Hubei province. She volunteered for a test at a hospital after learning that coronavirus cases had been found in the place where she stayed in Wuhan, the commission said.
The woman's test came back positive on Tuesday and she was sent to a designated hospital by ambulance.
The commission said seven contacts and 85 secondary contacts had been traced and were under medical observation.
The places where the patient and her contacts had visited have also been quarantined and disinfected, the commission added.
