Zhao Jiawen: Nordic combined is still 'in its infancy' in China

Men's Nordic combined athlete Zhao Jiawen of China said his team has made many training adjustments because this event is one of the most difficult and still in its infancy in China. He said he will keep working hard and improving steadily.
Zhao became the first Chinese Nordic combined Olympian when that competition started on Wednesday. He also helped light the Beijing 2022 cauldron in the center of a snowflake along with women's cross-country skier Dinigeer Yilamujiang from the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region during the opening ceremony in Beijing on Feb 4, 2022.
