Beijing records a new COVID-19 case
Beijing reported a new confirmed case of COVID-19 at 4 pm on Saturday, and the district where the new case was found has started disinfection and control measures.
At 9:50 am Saturday, Beijing's Haidian district received a positive report of nucleic acid testing from a third-party agency. The district launched the emergency response immediately by taking control measures in the area and began conducting epidemiological investigation.
The authority also started the disinfection work in the outside environment.
At 4 pm, the city-level health authority confirmed the positive result and the municipal government announced a news conference at 8 pm.
According to local CDC, the patient lives in Shangdi sub-district in Haidian and works at an office building in Haidian.
