Xi's special envoy to attend inauguration ceremony of Nicaraguan president for new term

BEIJING -- President Xi Jinping's special envoy Cao Jianming will attend the inauguration ceremony of the Nicaraguan president for the new term in Managua on Jan 10.

Cao, also vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, is to attend the ceremony at the invitation of the Nicaraguan government, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin announced Friday.
