Charles Foster: Beijing 2022 focuses on best opportunities for athletes

When the Houston Rockets considered drafting Yao Ming for the 2002-03 NBA season, they contacted Charles Foster to make sure that Yao could legally play in the US.

Charles Foster is chairman of US-China Partnerships and former chairman of Asia Society Texas Center. He married China's renowned movie star Chen Ye in 1989. In the recent interview with China Daily, Foster shared his friendship with Yao and his support for an athlete-centered Winter Olympic Games.
