Travel agencies are to suspend cross-provincial tours to border cities — except for the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions — until March 15, 2022.
The new requirement, included in a series measures released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Friday, aims to tighten up pandemic control before the coming New Year and Spring Festival holidays.
Travel agencies are also to suspend cross-provincial bookings of hotels and air tickets to border cities until March 15, again with the exclusion of Hong Kong and Macao.
To secure traveler safety during the upcoming New Year and Spring Festival holidays, travel agencies must enhance supervision of employee health and organize routine nucleic acid tests.
