Chindata Group to construct new 100MW data center campus in Malaysia

Bridge Data Centres, a subsidiary of Chinese hyperscale data center solutions provider Chindata Group, announced the construction of a hyperscale data center campus in Malaysia in an effort to further tap into the Southeast Asian market.
According to the company, work on the 100-megawatt data center, the largest of its kind in Malaysia, is underway in Johor, with Phase 1 set for service towards the end of 2022, and Phase 2 expected to be completed shortly thereafter.

This hyperscale campus with three buildings marks our commitment to scalable and reliable solutions and comes with massive hiring and investment opportunities within the industry," said Lim Dz Shing, president of Bridge Data Centers.
On Nov 24, Chindata Group announced its third quarter financial results. The company achieved a major breakthrough in overseas business and client diversification.
It posted third-quarter revenue of 741 million yuan ($115.0 million), up 59 percent year-on-year, and a quarterly adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of 368.4 million yuan, representing a 61.6 percent yearly growth. Net income in the third quarter was 78.4 million yuan, while the net income margin was 10.6 percent. Adjusted net income reached a record high by turning positive for a ninth consecutive quarter.
