Video of man in bear costume giving CPR goes viral

A video showing a man in a bear costume trying to perform CPR on an individual who suffered cardiac arrest in Southwest China's Chongqing, has gone viral online.

On Oct 23, the rescuer, 49-year-old Wang Yong, who works in a pet hospital, was wearing a cartoon bear costume, distributing the hospital's pamphlets on Nanbin Road, in Nanan district in the city.

He came across a middle-aged man who had a sudden cardiac arrest. With first-aid and CPR skills, Wang took off his costume immediately and performed CPR.

The man regained consciousness two minutes later.

On Nov 1, Wang was awarded "Most Beautiful Rescuer" by the Red Cross Society of China Chongqing Branch for his righteous deed.
